THE PLEASURE OF RIDING YOUR MOTORBIKE
AROUND THE LANGHE
The pleasure of discovering hidden secrets whilst exploring on your own motorbike is reason enough to spend a weekend in the Langhe. Combine good food, fabulous wine and a passion for riding the bends.
The Corte Gondina hotel can supply you with various itineraries, maps and suggestions. Moreover, if your stay is for 2 nights or more, we will supply a guide (free of charge) to show you some of the lesser-known areas accessible by tarmac and gravel roads.
LANGHE WINE TOUR (KM 150)
Ride the wine roads of Barolo, Barbaresco and Roero; a pleasurable trip past the most famous vineyards, castles and wineries of the area. The tour includes a guided winery visit, allowing you the opportunity to widen your knowledge of the wines of this region. Stop for lunch at a local farm and sample authentic Langhe cuisine. A leisurely, undemanding yet rewarding itinerary.
THE ALTA LANGA AND THE LIGURIAN COAST (250km)
Tour the mountain passes which link Piedmont to Liguria. Discover the roads that shaped the economic, social and political history of the area up until the past century. Challenging roads which are a delight to ride, offering unforgettable views, changing colours and a variety of tastes. Stop for lunch at a typical Osteria in the Ligurian hinterland. This is a fascinating and popular route along small country roads where, on weekdays, you are often lucky enough not to see a soul.
FRENCH AND ITALIAN ALPS (Km 550)
Savour the hills, mountain passes and valleys when you ride a section of the Franco-Italian Alps. This is a very varied tour reaching altitudes of more than 2800m (Colle dell’Agnello, Col d’Izoard, Col de la Bonnet etc). 70% of the trip is along mountain roads. Take a short lunch break at a mountain refuge before journeying into the spectacular French Alps.
NB: For this trip an early departure will be necessary, a small sacrifice for an unforgettable tour suited to those willing to break with routine.
